The new Olympus DP71 digital camera offers unmatched versatility for microscopists, combining highest sensitivity with market-leading image acquisition rates and colour match performance.

The new Olympus DP71 digital camera offers unmatched versatility for microscopists, combining highest sensitivity with market-leading image acquisition rates and colour match performance.

New features mean that the DP71 offers unsurpassed standards in performance for all imaging requirements.

The new Olympus DP71 digital camera uses the latest interface technology and a high sensitivity two-thirds-inch CCD to provide the fastest image acquisition on the market.

Still images, at pin-point resolutions of up to 12.5Mpixel, can be obtained in under three seconds with Olympus' unique piezo shift technology.

In live-mode, full frame images (1360 x 1024 pixels) can be captured at 15 frames per second, without any colour shift during sample movement, making it ideal for live imaging and documentation.

With improved image processing capabilities, the DP71 is especially suitable for applications where faithful colour reproduction is essential.

The unparalleled colour accuracy is an enhancement of the earlier Olympus DP70 camera, which itself has become established as the world's leading microscopy imaging camera.

Images are captured in 12bit resolution using CCD technology to present authentic, smoothly graduated colours.

High sensitivity and low noise is ensured for the faintest of images by Peltier cooling of the CCD chip to 10C below ambient, allowing long exposure times.

The DP71 can be fully controlled by the Olympus analySIS family software products.

This makes the operation of this camera that easy: look at the full screen camera live image to position your sample, acquire and then automatically generate your report or transfer images rapidly to co-researchers around the world.

The DP71 is immediately recognisable from previous Olympus microscope digital cameras, with a black casing.
