A novel packaged dilution system from Tecstream OMG is claimed to show considerable long-term savings on transportation costs for liquid raw materials.

A novel packaged dilution system from Tecstream OMG is claimed to show considerable long-term savings on transportation costs for liquid raw materials The system has been successfully used with high-active surfactants of 70% high strength concentrate (typically SLES), which is commonly used in solutions in the range of 28% strength for the production of toiletries, washing-up liquids and household cleaners etc

The equipment could also be used for the accurate reconstitution of fruit juice concentrates and other food related products, together with the production of many common industrial and chemical solutions involving a dilution or blending process in their manufacture.

High concentrate fluids can be cost effectively transported in bulk, with dilution then taking place at the point of production of the finished product.

The savings in transportation costs will depend upon the degree of volumetric dilution required, which could typically be in the ratio of 2.5:1 but may be much higher.

Supplied as a packaged module, the system incorporates full mechanical and electrical assembly to provide a chassis mounted process system.

It features: blending with mass flow and high accuracy pumping: manfolding including valves, line instrumentation and insulation: mixing via a high shear disintegrator and phased flow introduction of products: controls with centralised operation of all electrical functions.

The equipment is easy to install, requires minimal maintenance, is flexible in operation and easily adaptable to changing production requirements.

Existing storage tanks for dilute strength fluids can normally be used more effectively for use with concentrates, providing greater capacity and flexibility for both continuous and batch production operations.

Improved resistance is achieved of high strength concentrate to microbial attack, while simple adjustment is provided to achieve the final strength solutions required for blending as well as conventional dilution operations.

Low capital expenditure, combined with low energy operation costs also ensure that initial investment is quickly recouped.
