Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 26, 2007

Omitec Group has acquired P-Tec Automotive, a significant supplier of electrical and electronic consultancy to UK car companies.

Omitec Group has acquired the entire share capital of P-Tec Automotive.

P-Tec is a significant supplier of electrical and electronic consultancy to UK car companies and as such, is an excellent fit with Omitec's diagnostic, automation and technical publications activities.

P-Tec has an office in Crewe and has a close working relationship with the luxury car manufacturers based in the UK.

Omitec has appointed Mark Gadsby as Managing Director of P-Tec and John Roberts will continue as a consultant to the company.

The new enlarged Omitec Group now has over 400 staff, and well over half of these are qualified engineers.

Omitec Chairman, John Watkins, comments: "P-Tec will operate as an independent company within the group, working closely with the other Omitec businesses to provide our customers with outstanding options in the solution to their engineering needs, with full coverage of the complete lifecycle of their products".
