Pump maximises flow rate from minimal size

An Omnimotor product story

Miniature diaphragm pump uses a tiny but highly efficient 3V power-on DC solenoid to provide up to 30ml/min flow within a 14mm-diameter 14mm-long package.

Omnimotor has a new miniature diaphragm pump that uses a tiny but highly efficient 3V power-on DC solenoid to provide up to 30ml/min flow within a 14mm-diameter 14mm-long package.

At only 0.4W, its low power consumption allows the pump to be driven from a battery.

It's lightweight construction and ultracompact design enables users to miniaturise their designs by maximising flow rate and minimising size.

Maximum pressure is 9.0kPa and a variety of fluids can be pumped including water and methanol.

FA wide fluid temperature range from 5 to 50C can be allowed.

The pump is self-priming, and so performance is not affected by the ingress of air into the fluid line.

These motors are RoHS-compliant and have a patent pending.

This new pump results from Shinano's innovative Japanese development capability and applications could include fuel cells, vending machines, and medical/biotech analysis equipment.

These pumps are available via Omnimotor and a full range of European distributors of Shinano Kenshi brand products, which also includes hybrid stepper and brushless DC motors.
