Omnexus has significantly enhanced its multi-supplier equipment offering with the addition of six industry leaders.

The product offerings of Toshiba Machine, JSW Plastics Machinery, Milacron Plastics Technologies, Sumitomo Plastics Machinery, Toyo Makura and Ube Machinery are now available on the Omnexus equipment e-marketplace, the plastics industry's most comprehensive online resource for searching and comparing injection molding machinery.

The Omnexus equipment site launched in October 2001 with three of the world's largest equipment suppliers - Engel, Demag Ergotech and Van Dorn Demag.

The site features extensive product listings and technical specifications on over 1700 models of processing equipment.

This includes the latest all-electric product offerings, ranging in size from 20 to over 6000t with machinery specifications in both Imperial and metric units.

The ability for users to search across a range of manufacturers' product lines, by performance attribute, is a unique feature of the Omnexus site.

"The Omnexus equipment e-marketplace provides a unique global vehicle from which to market our vast product line", said Tim Glassburn, vice president of Toshiba Machine.

"Being a part of Omnexus greatly enhances our position in the marketplace and exposes us to a large community of both specifiers and purchasers".

Omnexus brings significant value to its users with a powerful technology platform and single interface.

This greatly reduces the tedious chore of contacting each individual supplier, either through an online or offline process, to gather the information necessary to make an informed decision.

"The addition of Toshiba, JSW, Milacron, Sumitomo, Toyo Makura, and Ube further solidifies Omnexus' position as the best online resource for sourcing injection molding equipment", said Michael Walsh, interim CEO of Omnexus.

"We are well on track toward bringing the plastics industry the most comprehensive, streamlined channel for fulfilling its total material and equipment needs".
