Light integration technology is the keynote

UltraLite technology, developed by Omnexus for its global plastics e-marketplace, was the subject of the keynote presentation at the recent Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Conference in Mainz, Germany.

The presentation, delivered by Omnexus CTO Bill Murphy, highlighted the technology's resolution of the double order entry obstacle faced by online buyers.

Created by several of the world's largest plastics suppliers as a centralized e-commerce and information platform, Omnexus developed a light integration technology in response to a growing demand among plastics buyers wanting access to online procurement.

The company's new UltraLite technology enables companies of all sizes, with different capabilities or needs with regard to integration, to reap the benefits of e-procurement without the substantial cost and development time required for full integration.

The keynote presentation emphasized a major step forward in online order technology enabled by UltraLite: the elimination of double order entry.

Buyers who previously had tried online ordering without first integrating with suppliers were often faced with the burdensome task of filling out orders multiple times: once in their own systems, and again online with each of their suppliers.

UltraLite's straightforward integration tools connect simultaneously with all Omnexus suppliers, automatically sending and recording an order in both the buyer's and suppliers' systems.
