Omnexus has launched its new commerce centre, an online presentation of industry products and services within the global plastics e-marketplace that extends the benefits of the industry's most comprehensive online plastics resource to a growing audience of buyers and sellers The commerce centre opens a new marketing channel for companies to take advantage of growing e-business opportunities within a global plastics industry that is rapidly moving its business processes online

The commerce centre allows companies targeting the plastics industry to draw from the traffic created by the e-marketplace's 'anchor' suppliers, including founders BASF, Bayer, Dow, DuPont and Ticona.

"The Omnexus commerce centre offers an effective way for manufacturers such as NOVA Chemicals, to reach the growing number of designers and moulders who are coming to the Internet, and specifically to Omnexus, to exchange their ideas and conduct their business", said Greg Wilkinson, Business Director, NAS and Zylar for Nova Chemicals.

The Omnexus commerce centre increases the number of products and services available to the e-marketplace's members by offering them direct, centralised access to an unlimited variety of plastics-related companies.

Omnexus currently counts more than 17,000 members in its growing community base, who use the site to order resins, source plastics products including equipment, conduct technical research and stay abreast of the latest industry news.
