Smaller head for high accuracy laser sensor
The Z4LB V2 laser sensor features a smaller, space-saving head, up to 66% smaller than previous Omron designs, with an easy-to-use amplifier.
Distribution boxes simplify field connections
Multiport distribution boxes simplify the applied wiring of sensor actuators, enabling multiple connections in an area with just one connection going back to the controller.
Snap mounting eases sensor installation
The novel mounting system used with E3FZ sensors completely eliminates the need for nuts and screws.
Parallel beam sensors provide high accuracy measurement suited to micrometer type applications.
The Z4LB V2 offers a range of output options, including a linear analogue output proportional to the amount of the beam that is broken and a threshold-settable digital output that can be programmed to switch when a given proportion of the beam is broken.
Two measurement widths are available - 10mm and 30mm, incorporating both vertical beam and horizontal beam versions and also the option of one-side interruption, high precision model.
Maximum sensing distance is 300mm, and visible light from the semiconductor laser ensures ease of alignment, for the standard sensor models.
The output provides a 1-5V analogue signal, with a maximum sensing resolution of 5æm and excellent linearity.
The discrimination output can be either PNP or NPN, and provides 100mA switching at 30V DC.
The ease of use of the amplifier is a key feature of the sensor.
The digital display provides clear indication of the measured values and the design offers hold functions, bank functions and the facility for setting a discrimination output where the application demands.
The ability to scale the output is also included, allowing the amplifier to display either a linear output voltage (V) or linear length measurement (mm) according the application's requirements.
DIN track mounting makes the amplifier easy to install and the cables between the sensor head and the amplifier are easy to connect.
A valuable space saving feature includes side attachment for the 10mm sensor head models. Request a free brochure from Omron Electronics ...
