Voltage options added to compact panel
drive range

Four-hundred volt, three phase models have been added to the Omron Sysdrive 3G3JV inverter range, complementing the existing single and three phase 200V versions.

Four-hundred volt, three phase models have been added to the Omron Sysdrive 3G3JV inverter range, complementing the existing single and three phase 200V versions The 3G3JV is Omron's 'simple but effective' range of inverters, being the entry level variable speed drive option in the Sysdrive family

It covers powers up to 4kW in the new 400Vac versions and has been developed to appeal to a user looking for a cost effective, extremely compact yet functional inverter drive, say for example a panel builder wanting to optimise the space available at minimum cost.

Its designers have used integrated power electronics and surface mount technology to realise this compact yet robust drive unit.

The robustness comes in part from its intelligent protection against short circuit, motor and inverter overload, overtorque and power loss.

The 3G3JV can differentiate between harmless momentary disturbances and damaging serious problems, riding through the former and shutting down in the event of the latter.

Programming the 3G3JV is designed to be straightforward, so that non-specialists can set it up in the field without calling in an expert.

The most common parameters are accessed via icons that make preliminary set up completely intuitive.

For more complex applications a second set of advanced parameters can be accessed separately.

Set up, monitoring and diagnostics can also be accomplished via a PC, using simple software.

Other features of Omron's 3G3JV include: RS232 interface, RFI footprint filter, in-built operator with on-board potentiometer, Slip compensation, analogue output, S-ramp acceleration and deceleration, DC injection braking and eight preset speeds.

The new 400V versions carry all the existing 3G3JV functions and performance to a new set of potential applications, and was developed following requests from long-term users of the original models. Request a free brochure from Omron Electronics ...
