To help make life easier for busy plant and design engineers, Omron Electronics and Integrated Safety Solutions have formed a partnership to provide a comprehensive package of safety services.

To help make life easier for busy plant and design engineers, Omron Electronics and Integrated Safety Solutions (ISS) have joined in a powerful partnership to provide a comprehensive package of safety services called Ensure Safety - Integrated Solutions.

The new services are specifically designed to address the difficulties of keeping pace with ever-changing machine safety technology, and with the regular introduction of new health and safety standards, approved codes of practice and safety regulations.

In designing the services, Omron and ISS have fully recognised that requirements for technical support in the area of safety depend on the availability of skilled resources, and the complexity of the machinery or processes with which the user of the services is involved.

One of the key core services in the Ensure Safety - Integrated Solutions package is a regular series of informative free seminars.

Wherever possible, these feature an agenda specially tailored to reflect the real-life applications of those who are attending.

The focus of the Ensure Safety seminars is on machinery and process engineering.

Emphasis is given to current health and safety regulations, new technologies, and associated health and safety standards, in particular EN 61508, which introduces new methodologies and principles for risk assessment.

The first two seminars in the 2003 programme will be held at Omron's London headquarters on 27th February and 26th March 2003.

Other seminars are planned for regional locations around the country.
