Omron and Yaskawa, two well-established names in the field of industrial automation and drives, are joining forces to market drives and motion control products for the European market This joint venture will be carried out through Omron Yaskawa Motion Control (OYMC)

While OYMC handles the product management and European marketing strategy, Omron's national sales companies will be responsible for local sales and marketing.

Yaskawa Europe will focus on global customers requiring special products.

The Omron-Yaskawa joint venture is a logical step after more than a decade of close partnership in this field.

Omron is a major player in machine automation through its smart technologies and its complete portfolio of integrated products.

The company has over 50 regional offices in 18 European countries.

This extensive, competent network makes Omron one of the most customer-oriented companies in Europe.

As the inventor of the mechatronics concept, Yaskawa is undoubtedly an accomplished player in harnessing power electronics, and is unrivalled in taking this growing technology to the edge.

Its ability to develop high-performance, compact products, combined with a no-compromise approach to reliability, has made Yaskawa one of the most respected leaders in the inverter and servo business.

OYMC will offer a better and more integrated approach to motion-automation solutions.

In addition, the synergy created by combining Omron's excellent sales networks and Yaskawa's undoubted technical capabilities will ensure the best support and services for its customers.

Steve Yukawa, President and CEO of Omron Europe, is very enthusiastic about this partnership.

"After many years of working together", said Yukawa, "we have formalised our relationship in order to further enhance the synergy that has existed between Omron and Yaskawa.

This new joint venture will allow us to advance and deliver a very high level of support in many areas, including product development and customer service, both to current and future users of mechatronic applications". Request free introductory details about products from Omron Electronics ...
