Distribution boxes simplify field connections
Multiport distribution boxes simplify the applied wiring of sensor actuators, enabling multiple connections in an area with just one connection going back to the controller.
Snap mounting eases sensor installation
The novel mounting system used with E3FZ sensors completely eliminates the need for nuts and screws.
Among the demonstrations is a process supervision system which combines Omron's F160 vision products with CJ1 programmable controllers and NS machine-management HMI terminals.
This arrangement allows the real-time monitoring of key process parameters, and the detection of evolving problems before they reach the point where they stop production.
Also on show is a system that adds instant event alert facilities to automation installations by allowing them to send an SMS text message - which can include live data - to virtually any mobile phone.
For visitors to the exhibition whose primary interest is in bottling and packaging, Omron is showing a simulated bottle-filling line.
Operating at high speeds, this line features precision-synchronised servo operation with Omron Sigma-series drives for rotary motion, and an indexing system based on the company's easy-to-use, low-cost SmartStep servos.
Alongside these application-oriented displays, Omron is showing a comprehensive selection of automation products, including many recent additions to its product range.
Among the product areas covered are PLCs, HMI terminals, variable speed and servo drives, vision systems, and sensors.
Throughout the exhibition, automation experts from the Omron team, including specialists in vision technology and drive systems, will be available on the stand to advise visitors on the best and most cost-effective solutions for their own individual applications.
