Distribution boxes simplify field connections
Multiport distribution boxes simplify the applied wiring of sensor actuators, enabling multiple connections in an area with just one connection going back to the controller.
Snap mounting eases sensor installation
The novel mounting system used with E3FZ sensors completely eliminates the need for nuts and screws.
And as applications requirements may vary, with the CJ1 users simply choose an appropriate CPU - all standard I/O remain consistent through the range.
There is no compromise - this new CPU can use the most sophisticated I/O or communication options.
The CJ1M-CPU11 and CJ1M-CPU21 make it affordable to start using modular PLCs, even at the lowest levels of machine automation.

Rapid alignment is ensured by an alignment aid that uses intuitive LED indication and instantly shows whether adjustment is correct or incorrect.
Custom flowmeters suit varied gases
Omron can provide mass flow sensors suitable to measure any flow rate from 1mm/s to 40m/s or 1litre/min to 50litres/min of most noncorrosive gasses.
They pack the same punch as the other CPUs in the family - making them ideal for applications where the processing power is required, but not all the memory and I/O capacity.
The CJ1M-CPU11 has the complete instruction set of the larger CPUs, and provides powerful functions for sequencing, data processing, arithmetic and control.
The CPU21 version offers all of the features of CPU11 and includes built-in high-speed I/O functionality.
These additions to the CJ1 family mean that Omron can now provide a modular PLC to fit any application and budget, for machine builders who want to scale their machines, there's always a CJ1 to suit, without having to change PLC families.
The CJ1M-CPU11/21 uses the same single programming software - CX-Programmer - that all Omron PLCs use, ensuring that the same powerful debugging functions are included to minimise programming effort.
And with CJ1's task-based architecture users can simplify programming by splitting projects into modules with cyclic tasks and interrupt tasks.
As with all CJ1 CPUs, the CJ1M-CPU11/21 support standard CompactFlash memory as an option for easy backup and exchange of data and programs.
The CPU21's built-in I/O with four interrupt inputs, two fast (100kHz) counters and two pulse train outputs (CPU2x) provides excellent performance for position control.
Of course the CJ1M-CPU11/21 are compatible with all existing CJ1 series units, allowing installation of up to ten powerful I/O and special function units such as communication, control, or analogue and digital I/O units.
And if you run out of power or capacity with the CPU11/21, you can easily replace it by another CJ1 CPU, with capacities up to 120k steps program memory, 2560 I/O points and down to 20ns binary execution time.
Again, one PLC family is all you need.
The CJ1M-CPU11/21 follows in the footsteps of the other members of the CJ1 family by offering seamless communications over a wide range of open-standard networks (Ethernet, Profibus-DP, Device Net), cost-effective proprietary networks (Controller Link, CompoBus/S), or fully user-configurable serial or CAN-based systems.
And, as with all of Omron's CJ1 CPUs, they come with two serial interfaces as standard. Request a free brochure from Omron Electronics ...
