Compact relay is easy to interface with
PLCs
At the heart of Omron's new G2RV relay is a strong mechanical blade connection with a large contact surface that ensures reliable connection between socket and relay.
Drawing on its years of experience with relays, Omron is introducing an innovation to the industrial plug-in relay With a width of only 6mm, the G2RV offers significant space saving without compromising reliability and features

Distribution boxes simplify field connections
Multiport distribution boxes simplify the applied wiring of sensor actuators, enabling multiple connections in an area with just one connection going back to the controller.
Snap mounting eases sensor installation
The novel mounting system used with E3FZ sensors completely eliminates the need for nuts and screws.
It therefore meets the requirements of machine and panel builders looking to cut costs by reducing panel size.
Furthermore, it is designed to perform in the most demanding industrial applications.
At the heart of Omron's new G2RV relay is a strong mechanical blade connection with a large contact surface that ensures reliable connection between socket and relay.
The strength of the pin also means that it is less likely to bend or be damaged during maintenance/ inspection.
In spite of its width, the G2RV includes common features of a true industrial relay such as a LED indicator, mechanical indicator, transparent housing and 6A switching capacity.
From the beginning both socket and relay have been designed to work together as one smart unit, taking into account labelling, marking and ease of wiring.
The socket is currently available as a box style screw terminal with a tool less push-in version coming late in 2006.
Meaning the installer can choose their preferred connection.
The G2RV relay is easy to interface with PLCs, making it ideal for a whole range of industrial-control applications.
Accessories such as PLC interface modules and a range of cables/connectors facilitate easy wiring and reduce installation time.
In addition to this its slim outline allows modules to be downsized and the number of I/O points to be increased.
The G2RV is available in six different variations covering input voltages from 12V DC to 230V AC.
Accessories include a PLC interface to connect eight G2RV sockets, cross-connection bars in various colours and lengths, and labels.
Relay and socket are sold as a pair, with relays available separately for maintenance purposes.
G2RV relays are built to Omron's own high quality and environmental standards, complying with RoHS directives and expected to give a reliable working life in excess of 100,000 operations.
They comply with relevant global standards, such as CE, VDE cULus, which means wherever your equipment is installed the G2RV is suitable. Request a free brochure from Omron Electronics ...
