Vector control inverters gain IP65
protection
Varispeed V7 vector control inverters are now available in robust IP65 enclosures, allowing them to be used in adverse environments without further protection.
Omron Yaskawa's popular and versatile Varispeed V7 vector control inverters are now available in robust IP65 enclosures, allowing them to be used in adverse environments without further protection Offered in single-phase versions with ratings up to 2.2kW and three-phase versions with ratings up to 4.0kW, the new IP65 drives use the same size of compact enclosure for all models in the range

Distribution boxes simplify field connections
Multiport distribution boxes simplify the applied wiring of sensor actuators, enabling multiple connections in an area with just one connection going back to the controller.
Snap mounting eases sensor installation
The novel mounting system used with E3FZ sensors completely eliminates the need for nuts and screws.
As standard, the new drives incorporate Class B EMC filters, and they are supplied complete with metal EMC cable glands as an aid to easy installation.
The units feature smooth external heatsinks and, since this eliminates the need for air filters which require regular replacement of filter elements, they are virtually maintenance free.
Suitable for use over a temperature range of -10 to +40C, the new IP65 Varispeed V7 drives are an ideal choice for a wide range of demanding applications, including conveying, mechanical handling, HVAC, packaging and water treatment.
The V7 IP65 drives are EN60068-2-6 vibration tested and approved.
Like their IP20 counterparts, the new drives use Omron Yaskawa's unique vector control algorithm which delivers superb motor torque characteristics, ensuring that at least 150% torque is available right down to 1Hz.
Another benefit that the IP65 drives share with the IP20 versions is excellent stability, even at low speeds.
PID functionality is provided as standard, as is a high-speed current-limiting system which suppresses over-current trips, together with a wide range of operator functions such as multispeed stepping, stall prevention and slip compensation.
Inside the V7's tough exterior lies a world of advanced technology offering you a host of new possibilities.
Like CASE (customised application software) for customised control without need of any extra optionboards.
Or a PLC option that provides onboard intelligence for stand-alone applications independent of an external controller.
Finally, fieldbus options to enable communications to the wider environment, allowing users to fully control operations remotely. Request a free brochure from Omron Electronics ...
