Omron has introduced a modular, multi-loop temperature controller that can connect directly to a Human Machine Interface (HMI) and to any programmable logic controller (PLC).
Omron has introduced a modular, multi-loop temperature controller that can connect directly to a human machine interface (HMI) and to any programmable logic controller (PLC).
CelciuXdeg offers further flexibility in system design with the option of Devicenet, Modbus and Profibus connectivity.
As part of Omron's Smart Platform concept, CelciuXdeg also has ready-made functional graphic objects that can be directly loaded onto an HMI for easy integration.
A control loop cycle of 250ms per channel makes CelciuXdeg highly suitable for all general-purpose applications.
In addition, Omron's Gradient Temperature Control (GTC) algorithm enables CelciuXdeg to handle complex two-dimensional temperature profiles - vital in applications such as glass lamination and coating where process temperature needs to be reached quickly and evenly in order to save time whilst ensuring high quality.
Omron's 2-PID control algorithm plus fast and reliable auto-tuning algorithms reduce commissioning time for any application where accurate installation and start-up are important.
The 2-PID control is factory preset with a default setting, suitable to give fast responses with minimal overshoot for most analogue control applications.
This allows faster production start up and control stability during production resulting in enhanced quality.
CelciuXdeg also has smart features that add value in key applications.
For instance, in reflow ovens, it provides a cost-effective way of controlling multiple loops in many zones.
It has wide placement possibilities for distributed control and practical heater alarm functionality, whilst its ability to prevent all outputs being on simultaneously reduces the draw on power at peak periods.
In blow-moulding applications, control of over temperature situations is critical.
Here, CelciuXdeg delivers optimal performance by allowing machines to run faster when maximum output is required.
Other GTC applications can be found in semiconductors, plastics and ovens.
Multi-loop machine control with HMI Control, overview and data-logging is simplified with CelciuXdeg in combination with a direct connection to Omron HMIs.
Offering reliability, compactness and uncompromising control performance, CelciuXdeg is ideally suited for basic multi-loop temperature control.
