Omron has expanded its motion platform with the Trajexia motion controller in PLC format.
The compact Trajexia CJ1-MCH72 motion controller fits directly into a CJ1 PLC rack, thereby providing space savings within the control panel as well as cost benefits, said Omron.
The Trajexia CJ1-MCH72 motion controller provides 16 digital inputs, eight digital outputs and encoder I/O connection, together with a built-in Mechatrolink-II port for the connection of the servo drives and inverters
The controller is designed for use with the Omron CJ1 range of PLCs and reduces the need for control panel wiring, as communications between the PLC and the motion controller are made through the backplane.
The integration of the CJ1-MCH72 into the PLC rack means that the PLC and motion controller can directly share data of all types, thereby enhancing interoperability and simplifying programming.
Motion programming is made faster and more straightforward with the Trajexia Studio software package, which is the latest standard platform for all of Omron's Trajexia motion controllers.
With an improved graphical interface, Trajexia Studio offers functionalities such as multi-device support, off-line programming, partial downloads and a program compare tool, among other features.
Although small in size, the Trajexia CJ1-MCH72 supports up to 30 physical axes as well as offering all the features of Omron's stand-alone Trajexia motion controllers.
It provides 16 digital inputs, eight digital outputs and encoder I/O connection, together with a built-in Mechatrolink-II port for the connection of the servo drives and inverters.
Additional communication options can be implemented using standard CJ1 interface boards to provide connections to all popular fieldbus systems, including Ethernet, Profinet and Devicenet.
