Omni16c annunciators have been successfully assessed as suitable to be used in safety related applications of Safety Integrity Level 1 in accordance with IEC61508:2000.
Omni16c annunciators have been successfully assessed as suitable to be used in safety related applications of Safety Integrity Level 1 in accordance with IEC61508:2000.
As of January 2004, all Omni16C annunciators can be applied to safety related applications making it a forerunner in its field.
With annunciators often being integral the monitoring of the safe functioning of the process plant this is an important step in the development history of the Omni16c.
The Omni16 annunciator was assessed by a TUV-certified functional safety expert.
Certification and test reports are available from Omniflex.
Omniflex offers expert assistance with SSF and PFD determination and also runs introductory training courses on IEC61508.
