The Teleterm M2 is a state-of-the-art DIN-rail-mount RTU with 12 universal inputs/outputs and a wide choice of communication options.

In addition to its very successful and very flexible Maxiflex RTUs, Omniflex has released a new range of programmable RTUs called the Teleterm M2 The Teleterm M2 is a state-of-the-art DIN-rail-mount RTU with 12 universal inputs/outputs and a wide choice of communication options

Each Telterm RTU is equipped with RS232/485 serial port, 12 inputs/outputs (selectable analogue/digital input/output), event driven alarm functions, optional MMC/SD memory card for data logging, user application programmable and an IE61131-3 graphical programming option.

The M2 RTUs can be used for remote I/O on existing cables up to a distance of 10km.

This is ideal for remote communications within an existing plant where the cost of laying new cable is prohibitive.

Other means of communications include Ethernet (best for applications with existing Ethernet infrastructure and requirement for only a few mixed signals from each location), dial-up telephone links (ideal for remote monitoring and controls applications where existing PSTN lines are available), serial link, SMS, GPRS and licence-free code-hopping radio.
