To take the stress and strife out of calculating orbital welding procedures with complicated and long-winded formulas, Orbimatic has introduced the Orbimat C range of equipment with auto calculation capabilities.
This equipment is leading the way for the future of orbital welding equipment.
The Orbimat C power supplies needs only material type, gas used, outside diameter and wall thickness to be entered.
The operator simply inputs these details and at the press of a button all welding parameters are entered into the procedure.
And the parameters are calculated using 'true logic' which gives parameters to the combination of the details entered.
The machine stores a full welding procedure, which include gas type, gas flow rates, tungsten electrode diameter, grind angle and type.
There is also a facility to allow project details to be stored to the procedure.
For applications which require a weld map with corresponding data log files the Orbimat C power supplies will store full details of weld deviations to a standard PC Card for easy transfer to a PC.
The Orbiport software then allows these log files to be presented in a Microsoft Work or Excel report at the click of an Icon.
The Orbimat C power supplies are designed to be easy to use with a large display and well designed keypad.
Combined with the Orbiweld range of welds they form a next generation system which is priced very competitively to please not just the welder but also the management.
