Welding supply handles aluminium
components
Orbimatic has added an AC/DC welding power supply to its Orbimat range.
Orbimatic has added an AC/DC welding power supply to its Orbimat range The new unit can weld with either AC or DC, allowing the orbital technique to be used for welding of aluminium components
This machine gives all the advantages of the Orbimat C range but with the addition of an AC output.
The machine also allows the AC balance and frequency to be controlled which gives the operator the ability to manipulate the weld bead profile to suit the application.
The Orbimat 300 AC can be used with any weld head from the Orbimatic range.
The machines were originally introduced to a customer in Spain and have been an overwhelming success with the customer having placed several repeat orders.
These units have also been introduced to the aerospace industry where they are being used for welding a range of different components.
