Orbimatic will be running live demonstrations of "pulled tees" being welded at the upcoming Weldex 2003 exhibition.

Welding of pulled tees with automatic equipment is considered, by many to be impossible, or too difficult by many involved in the manufacture of stainless-steel pipework systems.

This demonstration will show just how easy this is and how versatile the Orbimatic range of equipment is.

The full Orbimatic range of orbital TIG tube welding equipment will be on show at Weldex 2003.

This includes the Orbimat C range of power supplies and Orbiweld fully enclosed and open arc weld heads.

The extensive features of the Orbimat C power supply allows several thousand full welding procedures to be stored with full details of the application, not just a list of welding parameters.

The extensive data logging facilities also allow each weld carried out to be identified and the cycle values analysed.

The Orbiweld range covers tube diameters from 3 to 275mm outside diameter and includes fusion only and wire feed weld heads.

Tubes up to 170mm diameter and 4mm wall thickness can be welded by the enclosed weld head range using a square butt preparation and the weld will be made in a single pass.

All tubes outside these sizes can be accommodated by the all-new TP open arc weld heads.
