The revolutionary new AlphaStep, AS and ASC Series of motors from Oriental Motor (UK) are all now available with a standard electromagnetic brake feature

The revolutionary new AlphaStep, AS and ASC Series of motors from Farnborough based Oriental Motor (UK) Limited has received considerable critical acclaim since its recent launch and, all are now available with a standard electromagnetic brake feature.

On all AlphaStep motors fitted with electromagnetic brakes, the brake is applied whenever the power supply is interrupted be it accidental (power failure), or otherwise.

The application of the brake makes this type of set-up ideal for holding the position in vertical operations or where positive retention is critical in power-off mode.

AS units are designed for 100-115V and 200-230V supplies while the ASC Series is designed for connection to 24V DC power supplies.

All AS models with electromagnetic brake are available in round shaft type, TH geared, PL geared and Harmonic Drive variants.

Packages include a dedicated type driver and motor.

All are backed by a comprehensive warranty and range of optional accessories.
