Its new website, offers engineers, designers and those who specify components even more choice and information - all using an intuitive, easy-to-use navigation system.
The home page presents visitors with a simple but effective layout with primary navigation available within the title bar.
Visitors will not be under the illusion that they are about to embark on an Internet odyssey; instead they will be taken to their specific area of interest and furnished with all the details they need within three clicks from the homepage.
The website's primary section elaborates on the company's expanding European product portfolio.
It includes AC motors, Vexta brushless DC motor systems, Vexta Step stepping motors and systems, Limo linear actuators and the company's Orix range of cooling fans.
When a product area is chosen the user is presented with a page that subdivides the range down into specific models, each offering even more detail.
Once a particular product has been chosen, the visitor is presented with general product information, PDF downloads of in-depth technical details and numerous DXF files, allowing designers to pull CAD images straight into their own drawings and schematics.
One very useful feature of the site is the inclusion of motor sizing forms.
These allow users to enter as much detail as possible regarding their application, before allowing Oriental Motor's engineers to make the best choice for them.
The site also includes an in-depth encyclopaedia of motor and fan application notes, case studies and articles as well as a comprehensive FAQ section which details just about every question anyone would need to ask pertaining to the company's products.
Full UK and European contact details are also available (including the company's new UK office details) as are feedback and catalogue request forms.
Finally, within the support section, the history of this Japanese giant is covered, including details of many of its world firsts in the technical arena.
