The latest V series AC motor range from Oriental Motor, Japan's largest manufacturer of AC and stepper motors, provides twice the torque of comparable units but runs significantly quieter.

The latest V series AC motor range from Oriental Motor, Japan's largest manufacturer of AC and stepper motors, provides twice the torque of comparable units but runs significantly quieter The high-strength design and comprehensive range of noise reduction technologies enable the V series motor and inline gearbox units to offer a peak torque 40Nm for up to 10,000 hours at a noise level of just 29dB

Noise-reduction techniques include a special surface process to remove machining marks of 1 to 2um from the surface of the shaft teeth and an optimised quiet-running design that takes into account the angular velocity of the motor.

High-accuracy assembly technology ensures precision to micron levels.

The motor's strength comes from the use of a rigid case, proprietary side-panel construction and an optimised gear design.

Large diameter bearings serve to extend its useful life.

The high-strength design of the V series allows maximum torque (depending on the frame size) of up to three times the level of more traditional types of gear head.

The V series is ideal for retrofits as the motors can offer the same power in a smaller size or more power in the same.

The packaging sector will find it particularly useful, as the V series is more than capable of addressing the needs of this demanding industry.

As with everything in Oriental Motor's extensive range, the company's catalogue contains all the pertinent information that designers and machine builders need to select the specific motor for their application.
