The BLF series from Oriental Motor combines the features of a brushless DC motor with a wider speed range and multi-speed operation.

The BLF series from Oriental Motor combines the features of a brushless DC motor with a wider speed range and multi-speed operation Using the digital controller, users can produce high output, flat torque, speed stability and energy saving operation

The controller has full driver functions and lets users choose up to eight speed settings using four speed-setting methods.

It also has three speed display modes and lets users specify various protection functions.

Two models are available with gearheads, one of which is a hollow shaft flat gearhead for unobtrusive conveyor installation.

Both gearheads are rated to 10,000 hours at 3000rev/min.

A third model has a round shaft for custom installations or direct-drive applications.

The motor's design provides 120W output from a 90mm frame size across a speed range between 80 and 4000rev/min.

The motor and digital controller are rated up to IP65 when an optional remote control is used, which can be mounted on the front panel of a control cabinet using a 3 or 5m cable.

Aimed at conveyor applications, this CE-marked motor, gearbox and controller combination is for use where higher speeds and wider torque ranges are required.

The four speed setting methods will suit most applications, including internal and external speed potentiometers, with direct control from the digital controller or from an external voltage signal switchable between 0 to 5V and 0 to 10V depending on what signal voltage is being used.

The power and control cables are separate to make it less vulnerable to noise and let the wiring distance be increased to 20m with no effect on nominal performance.
