Oriental Motor has developed the DG Series of hollow actuators for fast and highly accurate positioning of inertial loads.
They feature a large-diameter hollow section with an output table on which a table or arm can be mounted directly, simplifying wiring and piping.
With a two-phase step motor and closed-loop control, the series eliminates the risk of mis-steps and enables higher speeds for faster positioning, yet the user-friendly features of a stepping motor are retained.
The highly accurate positioning offered by the DG Series is a function of the actuator's gear reduction mechanism, which assures a repetitive positional accuracy of +/-15 seconds - lost motion is stated as 2 minutes.
Available in 16 frame sizes from 2.36 to 7.87in2, at power supplies ranging from 24V DC to single- or three-phase at 230V AC, the DG Series is ROHS-compliant, and conforms to UL, CSA and CE safety standards.
