Orkot TLM marine bearings on show at Norshipping have approvals from all the main classification societies for use as rudder bearings and water lubricated stern tube bearings.
These approvals include the latest options for greaseless operation, such as for rudder carrier bearings.
With the allowable bearing pressure for rudder applications having increased considerably in recent years, Orkot is typically now approved for 10 or even 15N/mm2, which is three times the pressure for traditional bearing materials.
Having over 25 years' experience, Orkot's bearings have been fitted to over 1000 vessels worldwide.
