Controller software eliminates hardware

EZ-Comp II is an application that runs on the Okuma P100 and P200 controls to accept part based measurement data from a variety of electronic gauges.

Ovation Engineering has announced the release of the EZ-Comp II software for Okuma THINC controls.

EZ-Comp II is an application that runs on the Okuma P100 and P200 controls to accept part based measurement data from a variety of electronic gauges.

EZ-Comp II then performs statistical analysis to determine if any tool offset corrections are required and automatically transfers the required correction to the appropriate tool offset.

Gauge data are sent directly into the USB port of the CNC.

EZ-Comp II has been developed based on the same technology employed in Ovation Engineering's EZ-Comp System.

Its advantages are the elimination of external hardware, more detailed information regarding the closed loop process, far greater ease of installation, and of course, a lower cost.
