Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 15, 2008

Free half-day seminars are designed to give a truthful introduction to general machine vision principles.

Oxford Sensor Technology is set to hold a series of free seminars for those interested in introducing machine vision systems to their workplace.

The half-day seminars are designed to give a truthful introduction to general machine vision principles.

There will be no high pressure sales presentation.

Topics covered will include: illumination, cameras: "smart" cameras and pc based systems, interfacing to existing equipment, advantages of machine vision, nad potential pitfalls.

According to Anthony Williams, MD of Oxford Sensor Technology: "Too many people are put off vision systems by bad experiences with a first installations or tales of a horrific installation many years ago".

"The idea of the seminars is to give people the opportunity to learn, with today's technology, what is easily achievable, what will require a bit more thought and what should be avoided at all costs".
