Multicore telecommunication cables, with up to 2,700 conductor pairs, can be cut conveniently, cleanly and quickly with the new and very attractively priced PRTC 500 cable cutter from Partex.
Specially designed for telecommunications applications, this robust hand-operated ratchet tool features compact construction, making it particularly suitable for on-site use, yet it requires only minimal operating force, even when cutting the largest cables.
Precision-ground blades and a robust ratchet mechanism ensure that Partex's PRTC 500 cable cutting tool is easy to operate, and continues to cut cleanly throughout an exceptionally long service life.
To ensure maximum safety, the tool is provided with a locking mechanism which prevents accidental operation, and a part-cycle release function which allows the ratchet to be disengaged, and the cutting blades opened, at any point in the operating cycle.
As an aid to preventing operator fatigue and reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury, the PRTC 500 is provided with ergonomically designed handles.
The short stroke required to operate the tool, and its light weight of just 850 grammes, also contribute toward convenient handling and use.
The PRTC 500 wire cutter for telecommunications applications is complemented by a complete range of cable cutters, terminal crimpers and wire strippers from Partex.
