A marker factory on the desk
The new ProMark marker printer from Partex makes producing customised cable markers and component labels a fast, easy and inexpensive task.
After printing, the markers are simply snapped out of the card, and inserted into a carrier selected from the Partex range to suit the application.
The small size of the cards means that there is little waste, whether just a few markers are needed or hundreds, and it also allows them to be carried easily in the user's tool box, or even in a pocket, without risk of loss.
A further benefit is that each card can be printed, outside the area used by the tags, with additional data, such as a project or location reference.

The cards are easily and quickly printed using the new Xcard printer, which can be used with virtually any modern PC, in conjunction with Partex's versatile Windows-based WinSign Pro marking software.
The printer features a thermal transfer printing system, which ensures that the legends produced are both sharply defined and durable.
For maximum convenience, it also allows blank cards to be loaded in stacks, so that large quantities of markers can be produced without the need for user intervention.
Marker cards for use with the system are supplied in injection-moulded and pre-cut flat versions, with tags ranging from 15mm to 38mm in length.
The number of tags per card depends upon the tag size.
All cards are manufactured from high-grade polystyrene, which is highly resistant to the effects of adverse environments.
Carriers for use with the Xcard system are available in a variety of styles, including the new PT+ type for use with wires and cables from 0.25mm2 to 16mm2.
To maximise user convenience, the bodies of PT+ carriers incorporate a flexible bellows construction.
This not only makes them easy to fit on the cable, but also allows a small number of different carriers to cover a wide range of cable sizes.
