The new Heatex range of user-printed heatshrink marker sleeves from Partex offers a convenient and cost-effective way of identifying cables positively and permanently, even in tough industrial environments.

Available in flame-retardant and low-smoke zero-halogen versions, Heatex markers have an operating temperature range of -55 C to +135 C, are unaffected by water, and offer excellent resistance to commonly encountered industrial chemicals.

Users of Heatex markers are offered a choice of two printing options: compact Gemini 2M thermal-transfer printers and specially modified OKI 380 dot-matrix printers, both of which are used in conjunction with a PC.

Label design and printing with the PC-based units uses the Heatex Labels Software 3.0 for Windows package.

This versatile software provides full control over legend size, and can import legends and symbols directly from most CAD packages.

It also offers a convenient print preview facility.

All of the printers for Heatex labels are used with special ribbons which produce durable, readily legible legends.

Labels printed with the dot-matrix unit, however, are particular resistant to the effects of petrol and similar fuels and solvents.

Heatex label sleeves from Partex have a shrink temperature of just120 C and are offered in 2:1 and 3:1 shrink-ratio versions.

The range of 2:1 sleeves covers final diameters of 1.2mm to 12.7mm, while 3:1 sleeves are available with final diameters from 1.0mm to 8.0mm.

All types are supplied on a tractor-feed backing for ease of handling and printing.
