Tech fair sees Technology Forum
Parker will present "Sealing Technology You Can Touch", at this year's Hanover Fair including the live demonstration of test rigs as well as presentations on various sealing technology topics.
The Parker Seal Group's presentation at this year's Hanover Fair will feature numerous innovations and - for the first time - a Seal Group "Technology Forum" In hall 20, on stand B20, Parker will present "Sealing Technology You Can Touch", including the live demonstration of test rigs as well as presentations on various sealing technology topics and a platform for individual professional exchanges
Among Parker's innovations showcased at the fair are the magnetic piston DR, the smallest standard magnetic piston currently available on the market, a new NBR sealing material for highly dynamic pneumatic applications as well as a newly developed range of radial shaft sealing rings for pressure-loaded applications.
The Parker Technology Forum making its trade fair debut will convey an in-depth impression of the sealing specialist's extensive research and development activities, featuring live demonstrations of the test rigs for various seal types from the Seal Group's Physical Lab.
In addition, Parker will address a wide range of sealing technology topics, including application examples, sealing materials and media compatibility as well as the use of computer simulation in seal development such as service life predictions assisted by finite elements analysis.
Seal Group specialists from research and development will be on hand for personal discussions during the event.
On the product side of the house, Parker will unveil numerous innovations such as the smallest standard magnetic piston currently available on the market.
The DR magnetic piston is an elastomer complete piston with solenoid interrogation and integrated cushioning specifically developed for the requirements of modern pneumatic cylinders.
The complete piston features an extremely slim design and is suitable for use with a wide range of different cylinder types, and with various sensors.
The combination of all functionalities - sealing, guiding, cushioning, interrogating - in a single component ensures easy assembly and, in addition, offers handling and logistic cost benefits.
For highly dynamic pneumatic applications, Parker will showcase its new NBR sealing material N9150.
Due to its improved resilience and setting performance, the new material is suitable for an enhanced range of service temperatures, up to and including ranges previously reserved to HNBR compounds.
In addition, the material is characterised by improved dynamic properties and low stick-slip tendency.
P6000 is Parker's high-performance polyurethane compound for hydraulics.
Thanks to its superior performance specifications, this material excels in terms of wear resistance, dimensional stability and temperature resistance, thus being highly suitable for demanding requirement profiles in the field of fluid power.
P6000 enables maintenance intervals to be shortened significantly.
The Parker Seal Group will present three newly developed ranges of radial shaft sealing rings for pressure-loaded applications at the Hanover Fair.
Furthermore, Parker offers a wide selection of standard ranges according to DIN 3760/3761 and ISO 6194, as well as special designs.
For the development of custom solutions, Parker's Physical Lab uses standardised in-house test rigs as well as the finite elements method enabling the simulation of sealing systems in application conditions at an early stage, thus significantly reducing development cycles and costs.
