Stainless steel cable tie prevents slippage

A Panduit product story

Panduit has designed a new stainless steel cable tie that prevents slippage on rigid bundles and eases installation.

Panduit has designed a new stainless steel cable tie that prevents slippage on rigid bundles and eases installation.

The innovative aspect of this cable tie is Panduit's patented Wave-Form spring.

During installation the undulated surface of the Wave-Ty is stretched flat.

The spring then contracts after the tie is tensioned and cut off, ensuring that the tie fits the size of the bundle exactly.

This means that objects such as signs can be attached to vertical steel posts with no fear of the sign slipping down.

The tie also features Panduit's patented self-locking head ramp.

Thanks to this design, the steel ball bearing in the head of the tie is pushed against the ramp after tensioning and the tie cannot open, regardless of head orientation.

This makes the Wave Ty ideal for exterior clamping of industrial signs and road signs, heat shield and bundling applications.

As well as increased security, installation time is reduced because the traditional process of sleeving is no longer necessary on rigid bundles.

After installation the Wave Ty demonstrates a far superior grip.

The Wave-Ty still incorporates all of the features of Panduit's original stainless steel cable ties.

It features a low thread force, and fully rounded edges for optimum safety.

Supporting state of the art tooling from manual to pneumatic is also available.

Panduit's Wave-Ty has been placed on the American Bureau of Shipping's (ABS) List of Type Approved Equipment, along with several other products in Panduit's cable tie range.
