The Dura-Ty cable tie from Panduit has been designed for outdoor applications that require strength and durability.

The Dura-Ty cable tie from Panduit has been designed for outdoor applications that require strength and durability.

It has an estimated 20-year service life with many uses in plant installation and maintenance.

The Dura-Ty has a minimum loop tensile strength of 1112N with extra-heavy cross section (12.7mm wide), high impact resistance and is easy to install.

The tip of the Dura-Ty is rounded to easily insert the strap into the head and the double type 302 stainless steel barbs provide consistent locking performance.

This makes for easy installation even when wearing gloves, and gives a low insertion force.

To further reduce installation time, pre-assembled head and straps can be supplied (in 343 and 686mm lengths).

There is a storage area for a bag of heads inside the dispenser pack, and a through hole for attaching the dispenser packs to the installer's belt.

Both these factors ensure that the user will have fewer items to carry in the field.

Should the pre-assembled packs be unsuitable, the Dura-Ty is also available in a 15.24m roll of strapping plus dispenser pack and a 25-piece bag of heads.

This allows the user to cut the tie to whatever length suits the application.

Panduit has selected Delrin material for the Dura-Ty because it gives the flexibility of a plastic but the rigidity of a metal.

Having a Delrin strap body and head gives the Dura-Ty improved stability, fatigue resistance and is resistant to UV light, chemical solvents and moisture.

As such the Dura-Ty puts little friction or wear on the bundle, and is extremely reliable, which is essential in situations where maintenance may be difficult.
