The Belt-Ty is a parallel entry cable tie that threads like a belt (at 180 degrees) with the same performance of conventional (90-degree entry) cable ties.
Panduit's new Belt-Ty is a parallel entry cable tie that threads like a belt (at 180 degrees) with the same performance of conventional (90-degree entry) cable ties.
It has been designed for use in confined spaces and to protect workers hands from injury.
With safety requirements for products becoming more stringent, Panduit has designed a new in-line cable tie to help protect maintenance engineers from scratches.
Incorrectly applied conventional cable ties result in a long cutoff leaving sharp edges.
The Belt-Ty has been designed to thread like a belt, and as a result any excess cutoff lies flush to the bundle.
This not only gives a neater appearance to the bundle, but also protects workers arms and hands.
The Belt-Ty has rounded edges on the head and strap.
This ensures that there are no sharp edges in contact with the installation, and therefore protects any adjacent cable.
Both of these features make the Belt-Ty ideal for use in confined spaces.
Potential applications include electrical control panels, wire harness assemblies and OEM equipment in the aerospace and telecommunications industries.
The Belt-Ty features a 35% lower head height.
This flatter design makes it ideal for use in confined spaces because the low profile head effectively increases space availability allowing easier maintenance access.
The Belt-Ty has been designed with a finger grip shaped head that allows for a good positive grip when threading the ties.
The curved tip gives faster initial threading as well as making the tie easier to pick up from flat surfaces.
The low thread force of the tie reduces operator fatigue, increases productivity and speeds installation.
The Belt-Ty can be installed using the appropriate Panduit installation tools.
The Belt-Ty is available in natural and black weather resistant finishes.
