Panduit is to supply its new stainless-steel cable ties to Norsk Hydro, a leading oil and gas platform operator.

The cable ties will be deployed on the Njord B oil storage vessel, positioned on the Njord field in the Norwegian Sea.

Panduit's stainless-steel cable ties hold cable bundles on cable trays securely, without becoming loose through vibration - a common predicament onboard vessels in rough seas.

Panduit's new design in ball-locking stainless steel cable ties are engineered for the most extreme of applications and proved the ideal solution.

By exhibiting the market's strongest loop tensile of up to 2kN, the cable ties assure locking in any position or condition.

At the same time, they demonstrate all the advantages of the original design: a unique locking ramp that provides higher retained tension for a more secure bundle, self-locking with low thread force for fastest installation and fully rounded edges for an extra margin of safety.
