Stainless steel cable tie prevents slippage
Panduit has designed a new stainless steel cable tie that prevents slippage on rigid bundles and eases installation.
The solution was designed to improve safety, speed up total installation time and lower installed costs on the vessels.
Panduit labour-saving MLT ties install six times faster than conventional strapping methods, according to BAE's electrical installation team.
To guarantee a 100% safe installation, the ties use slip-back technology so that no edges are exposed.
Furthermore, all edges are fully rounded with smooth surfaces to prevent damage to insulation on cables and adjacent bundles and also to protect installers and maintenance workers from injury.
All Panduit ties were subjected to BAE Systems' extensive and stringent shock testing procedures to guarantee their resilience under extreme and hazardous conditions.
The ties feature an innovative patented displacement lock, which increases interference between the ball and the tie body for superior locking strength.
