Panduit has delivered its innovative automatic cable tie installation tool and terminal applicator to Abotron, a supplier of cable assemblies to the electronic, telecomms and building industries.
Panduit has delivered its innovative automatic cable tie installation tool and terminal applicator to Abotron, a supplier of high quality cable assemblies to the electronic, telecommunications and building industries.
The PAT 1M is a high speed cable tie installation tool, containing reels of 5000 continuously moulded cable ties, which wraps, tensions and cuts off each tie in less than a second.
This resulted in a faster installation time and lower installed costs for Abotron.
After testing out competing offerings, Abotron found the PAT 1M easy to handle, as the ergonomic and lightweight design reduces operator fatigue through accelerating repetitive actions.
The UL listed CA9 Ezair is a fully automatic and high volume applicator for reel-fed terminals.
Over 400 continuously moulded components can be terminated on a single applicator and the crimp die changeover time is less than one minute, making it quick and easy to change the type of terminal for reduced setup and downtime.
It is these two features that led to an increase in productivity for Abotron and ultimately lowered installed costs.
