Panduit is winning major contracts to supply solutions for shipbuilding projects in part due to a raft of industry accreditations.

Panduit products used in shipbuilding hold accreditations including ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) for stainless steel cable ties and power connectors, BV (Bureau Veritas) for nylon and steel cable ties, DNV (Det Norske Veritas) for nylon ties and accessories and stainless steel cable ties, Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyds Register of Shipping for stainless steel cable ties and Registro Italiano Navale for nylon and steel cable ties and steel strapping.

Many Panduit products also carry CSA (Canadian Standard Association) and UL (Underwriters Laboratories) approval.

Fincantieri, one of the world's leading shipbuilding concerns, chose Panduit to supply extra heavy and super heavy ball locking stainless steel cable ties for its cruise ships.

Adriano Bado, Engineer at Fincantieri says, "[Panduit] Pan-Steel cable ties have smooth, rounded edges to prevent damage to cables".

"Strict tests, certified by independent testing facilities have confirmed this and the cable ties' compliance with precise international standards".

Panduit is exhibiting at the 21st international Nor-Shipping exhibition and conference at Norway Trade Fairs, just outside of Oslo on 12th-15th June 2007.
