A Panduit product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jun 9, 2008

Locking RJ45 connector secures connections to reduce network downtime, data security breaches and hardware replacement due to theft.

New from Panduit, the RJ45 Plug Lock-In Device is a novel product that secures connections to reduce network downtime, data security breaches and hardware replacement due to theft.

This device will protect RJ45 connections until it is removed using a special tool.

The versatile design allows the device to work with most patch cords, faceplates, patch panels, IP cameras and other IP devices.

It is also compatible with VoIP phones helping to prevent unauthorised removal and ensure E911 continuity.

The compact design enables the device to be quickly and easily used in new or existing installations.

The patent-pending device is available in six different colours to enable colour-coding for easier visual identification and to improve aesthetics.

The RJ45 Plug Lock-In Device complements the RJ45 Jack Blockout Device to provide greater physical security.
