Combining compact construction and high power, the BCI range of motors from Papst offer an excellent price-performance relationship and high customisation potential The motors are the ideal solution for a wide range of industrial applications

The latest additions to the BCI range, models BCI5230 (37W) and BCI5260 (55W) are 52mm diameter motors with body lengths of 95mm and 125mm respectively.

The mechanically commutated, internal rotor motors offer an operating efficiency of 80% and are designed for 12, 24, 40 or 60VDC operation.

For durability and reliability the bi-directional motors utilise precision ball bearings with lifetime lubrication, and may be orientated in any position.

Service life for the units is 3000 hours.

The motors operate over a wide speed range (at rated load) up to 3,550rpm for the BCI5230 and 3,100rpm for the BCI5260, equally they are well suited to continuous low speed operation.

The units offer advantages in applications where high starting torque and/or low operating speeds are required.

Papst can fit worm, spur or planetary gear boxes to the motors as required.

Similarly the units can easily be combined with an encoder for high accuracy speed control applications.

A safety brake can also be supplied.

Featuring Insulation to class B, Papstūs BCI 52mm motors offer protection to IP40.

Higher levels of protection are available to order.

The motors will prove useful in a wide range of applications including industrial automation, handling technology, mechanical and system engineering, chemical and medical technology, laboratory equipment, house/climate, textile and printing technology.

Where sufficient quantities are required Papst is able to provide customised versions for specific applications.
