Compact cylinder for food industry use

Parker Pneumatic has extended its range of food industry pneumatic components with the introduction of the new compact P1M Short Build Cylinder.

Parker Pneumatic has extended its range of food industry pneumatic components with the introduction of the new compact P1M Short Build Cylinder Factory lubricated with food grade grease, and with smooth, corrosion resistant washdown design, the P1M Short Build Cylinder range is one of the most compact and most flexible on the market, today

The range offers the widest choice in terms of build length, bore size and stroke length to suit any application.

Two unique design features - flexible porting and integral sensor grooves - make the P1M cylinders an ideal solution for applications where installation space is at a premium.

Typical space savings of 20 to 30% can be achieved over standard ported cylinders.

Channels in the body supply air to either end of the cylinder.

Port positions can be specified to suit the customer's requirements - radial in the front plate, radial or axial in the rear plate.

Integral sensor grooves are recessed into the barrel enabling sensors to be quickly and easily fitted without increasing external dimensions.

Unused sections of the sensor grooves - and any other 'pockets' such as end mounting holes - are sealed with rubber seals to remove any possible traps for dirt and food particles and to enable easy washdown.

Ten sizes of P1M Short Build Cylinder are available with bore sizes from 12 - 100 mm and stroke lengths from 5 - 500 mm.

The basic version has a stainless steel piston rod, magnetic piston and fixed cushioning.

Options, including single and double acting cylinders, double piston rods (hollow or solid), internally or externally threaded piston rods and high temperature versions, are available to fulfil more demanding requirements in terms of performance and environmental conditions.
