Valves in control on refuse collection
vehicles

Parker Pneumatic valve assemblies are specified for control of raise and lower functions for the third axle on Dennis Eagle Ex-Cell and Phoenix refuse collection vehicles

Parker Pneumatic valve assemblies - based on the new Viking high performance directional control valve - are specified for control of raise and lower functions for the third axle on Dennis Eagle Ex-Cell and Phoenix refuse collection vehicles The Dennis Eagle Ex-Cell and Phoenix vehicles are both fitted with a third axle to enable the maximum load to be achieved

The Parker valve assemblies now fitted to control the raising and lowering of the third axle overcome the problems of water and contamination ingress and vibration damage which resulted in the low operational life of previously installed valves.

The Parker assembly includes a Viking P2L-B, G1/4 valve, two regulators and fittings.

The Ex-Cell offers a unique combination of high level payloads within compact overall dimensions, providing a solution to the access problems of today's urban and rural environments.

The hopper's short overhang gives excellent weight distribution even when binlifts are fitted, and with a capacity of 2 cubic metres offers operational performance levels ahead of competitors standard width products.

Ex-Cell bodywork is available in 9,11,13 and 15 cubic metre capacities and can be mounted to any suitable GVW chassis.

The Phoenix's huge hopper means fewer packing cycles, giving reductions in wear, fuel consumption and noise levels, the two plate packing system offering proven reliability and excellent weight distribution.

Phoenix bodywork is available in 15, 18, 20, 23, 25 and 28 cubic metre capacity.

Parker Pneumatic's Viking valve range features compact installation dimensions, high flow capacity, short change-over times and low change-over pressure.

Viking valves are made entirely of anodised aluminium for good corrosion resistance.

Smooth design with no dirt-collecting pockets, and stainless steel fixing screws for the end covers enable the valve to withstand most aggressive environments. Request a free brochure from Parker Hannifin ...
