Parker Filtration has introduced the new Finite AQT-4 Air Quality Analyser - a unique four-in-one compressed air analyser which tests all four critical aspects of compressed air quality: mass concentration of contaminants, pressure dewpoint, temperature and pressure.
Traditionally, four separate instruments have been needed to measure these critical characteristics of compressed air.
The AQT-4 incorporates a capacitance hydrometer to measure the relative humidity of the compressed air, and a photometer allows the analyser to measure the concentration of oil, water and particulate contamination in the air stream.
Variable set points and sensing capabilities are two of the outstanding features of the new AQT-4 analyser.
Contamination in the compressed air system can be measured in concentration levels ranging from parts per billion to 100 parts per million: a range of five orders of magnitude.
The AQT-4 can sense pressure from as low as 1.4 bar to as high as 10.3 bar.
Temperature can be measured from -30C to 79C.
Pressure dewpoints can be sensed from -45C to 27C.
The AQT-4 reports output data on an LCD display and also through programmable audible alarms.
The data can be directed to a PC through the RS-232 serial port on the back of the unit.
A CD-ROM software package is included that enables the user to store the data and produce graphical reports directly in an MS Windows format.
Portable and weighing just 6.8 Kg, the new Finite AQT-4 Air Quality Analyser is housed in a rugged die-cast enclosure to meet the aggressive environmental conditions often encountered, for example, in petrochemical, oil refining, textile, paint finishing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and pulp and paper applications.
