Generator does away with gas cylinders

A Parker Hannifin - Parker Sales UK product story

Gas generation system uses a combination of a compressor with filtration, catalysts and membrane separation technologies.

The Process Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin has launched an integrated LC/MS gas generation system, developed to increase user profitability by eliminating the need for costly and inconvenient gas cylinders.

The visually integrated and functionally modular Source-LCMS-5000 produces high-purity nitrogen, zero air and exhaust pump gases for all Applied Biosystems - MDS Sciex LC/MS/MS instruments.

The Parker gas generation system uses a combination of a compressor with filtration, catalysts and membrane separation technologies.

An integrated low-maintenance compressed air supply is filtered by high efficiency coalescing filters, removing all contaminants down to 0.01um.

Hollow fibre membranes subsequently divide the clean air into a concentrated nitrogen stream, while the zero air is produced by catalytic oxidation which converts the hydrocarbons.

A passive hollow-fibre dehydration membrane is used to create the exhaust pump gas.

The integrated scroll compressor is whisper quiet at only 48dBA and is supplied as standard with a 10,000 hour or three year warranty, reckoned to be the best compressor warranty currently available on the market.

The Process Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin offers a broad range of analytical gas generators to meet your specific analytical instrument requirements.

All products are backed by a fully staffed field sales and service organisation.
