Parker offers electrical coils for Lucifer valves

A Parker Hannifin - Parker Sales UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 27, 2009

Parker Hannifin has launched ATEX-certified 37mm electrical coils for use on its Lucifer range of stainless-steel solenoid valves and the brass and aluminium X valves.

These coils extend the usability of these valves in the oil-and-gas, chemical and pharmaceutical markets, in which environmental working conditions can be very severe.

These products are ATEX and IECEX certified and are dedicated to stainless-steel 2/2 and 3/2 valves as well as 4/2 and 5/2 way valves.

The 'd mb' and 'ia' ATEX-certified products meet T6 temperature classes and the stainless-steel fittings and the IP67 protection level permit the 37mm CPR range to meet customers' needs and applications where ambient constraints are hard, aggressive and sometimes corrosive.

By using the 'booster' technology for the 'ia' product (ref 496565), the current consumption is reduced (20-15mA, activation then holding), allowing usage in all markets where intrinsically safe electrical circuits are normal, such as IS barriers and remote input/output (I/O) modules.

The 37mm CPR range (ref 496555 and 496560) gives customers in the process market the opportunity to benefit from the features of the 37mm 'd mb' classic range, with the same ATEX flameproof plastic enclosure 'd', resulting in reduced size and weight, attractive design and lower costs when compared with traditional cast-iron solutions.

The international ATEX certification, IECEX, allows the 37mm CPR electrical coils to be used in all countries, without the need for any additional local certification.
