Edgecam chosen for high performance transmission
Faced with an ever-increasing demand for more complex machined surfaces, motor sports supplier, Hewland Engineering, has invested in Pathtrace's Edgecam system.
Stephen Sivitter previously held the post of Vice President, North American Operations, for the leading mould and die CAM industry company.
From an engineering apprenticeship, he progressed through regional sales positions to take on the North American sales manager role for the company in 1991.
Five years later, he was appointed Vice President and established operations to cover the US and Canada.
Brian Steatham, Managing Director of Pathtrace Engineering Systems Plc and Chairman of Pathtrace Systems, said of the appointment: "Stephen has a very high level of experience in the CADCAM business and, combined with his product and market knowledge, has a lot to contribute to Pathtrace operations in America.
As well as almost a decade of very impressive US business development, Steven has an excellent understanding of the industry and especially mould and die makers affiliated to the automotive sector.
Brian Steatham continues: "His knowledge of mould and die in the US slots perfectly into the product development programme of Pathtrace." EdgeCAM provides the features and benefits of high-level software systems in a more flexible solution based mid-range environment.
This product strategy appeals to a wide spectrum of mould, die and toolmaking companies because of its high cost-effectiveness to performance ratio.
