Chemtech-Siemens is to resell, deploy and support Pavilion's suite of advanced process control software solutions in South America.

A new agreement between the two companies also enables Pavilion to expand the delivery of its solutions to oil and gas, pulp and paper, chemicals, minerals and consumer goods manufacturers throughout the continent.

"We want to provide our clients with the best possible solutions to meet their manufacturing needs", commented Chemtech-Siemens' CEO, Luiz Eduardo Ganem Rubiao.

In addition to existing software, Chemtech-Siemens will gain access to Pavilion's new performance management application available in spring 2005.

Chemtech-Siemens' expertise in manufacturing execution system (MES) integration for the process industries will further facilitate the deployment of Pavilion's new capabilities that can tie key production performance information from the plant floor through to ERP systems for improved planning and scheduling.

It also helps develop Pavilion's momentum in South America with customers such as Braskem, Politeno and Klabin.
